Axle counter, also known as microcomputer axle counter, is equipment installed at railway stations at both ends. It uses closed-loop sensors installed on the rails to monitor the number of wheel pairs passing through. When the train arrives at the opposite station, if the number of wheel pairs received by the opposite station is the same as that of the departure station, the section will be automatically opened.
